A Scarecrow's Journey is a video work about Object A and Object B, two tourist scarecrows
who go on an ecological investigation of the Tallgrass Prairie from the Californian desert.
Through their experience in two ancient seabeds, they uncover relationships between the
tallgrass and their subjective experienced of the tallgrass mediated by their perspective as
tourists and scarecrows. This leads them to start questioning the reason for their travels and
the histories of the environments they are encountering. Could it mean that the a dominant
narrative is encouraging them to disregard the small good things in their life?
