peer 2 peer
Decentralized, artist-run project space co-founded with Cha Tori
Est. 2020
Los Angeles, CA
peer 2 peer was a space and idea dedicated to promoting cross-institutional/interdisciplinary artist connections. p2p was started by Elizabeth Herring and CalArts peer Cha Tori during Zoom school 2020. Originally, p2p came about as a way to bring people and artworks together when artists and students were unable to show work together due to the Covid-19 regulations taking place at schools.
ForGround marked the initial p2p project with an outdoor group exhibition in a Mt. Washington backyard followed by a book exchange. Now p2p is growing into an entity of different threads, from a reading group at the MAK Center in West Hollywood, to our budding online exhibition RSVP, and future publications + collaborations.
